Definitely a challenging weekend, but nice none-the-less and we all made it thru it! Saturday was a pretty constant rain, with temperatures in the 30's. Add to the rain Dolly Sods' typical bogs, and everyone was wet and cold. Ate well, slept well, and woke to clearing skies and a much better day Sunday for the hike out.

And surprisingly, this year, in spite of a rather harsh winter, our schedule had to wait until this late April overnight for one that would qualify as a Polar Bear Camping night!

This trip hiked thru Dolly Sods north -- the Bear Rocks trail, Dobbin Grade trail, Upper Red Creek trail, Blackbird Knob trail. Camped on the knob due east of Blackbird Knob, after crossing Red Creek (for the 2nd time).
