1993 brought a new GE Lighting designer, Renee Green. Her design combined more than 10,000 GE holiday lights and ornaments withcomplementary floodlighting and innovative lighting tehnology incorporating fiber optics to produce a lustrous and dynamic perception of depth and motion.
Thousands of gold and red lights grace the tree, producing a colorful backdrop for the luminous look created by 116 circular and diamond shaped lighting ornaments. Gold, red, blue and green lights accentuate the three-dimensional spherical ornaments, and wind-propelled metalic spinners. The design also incorporates a brilliant red tree skirt, using500 GE lights with iridescent reflectors to creat a rhythmic sequence of diamond shapes around the base of the tree.
