On the 5th thru 13th of August, 2015, Scouts of Troop 1946 from Washington, DC travelled to the Kandersteg International Scout Centre ("KISC") in Kandersteg Switzerland for a week of adventure, hiking in the alps, and renewing/making international friendships. KISC dates to 1923, coming out of Scouting founder Lord Robert Baden Powell's dream for a place where Scouts from all over the world could meet -- the Permanent Mini Jamboree.
Troop 1946 credits the Flückiger family as the final impetus for making this trip happen. This Swiss family was an active part of the troop in 2012-13 while in the US, and KISC provided the perfect opportunity to reunite our friendships!
